When choosing a supplier and installer for summer house air conditioning, there are a number of considerations. Arguably the biggest challenge is that unlike rooms in a house, these outside buildings are prone to large changes in temperature.
Summer houses are becoming more and more popular for use as offices or studios or even guest accommodation. Traditional solutions to this often include separate heating and cooling solutions; electric heaters, fans or cool-only air conditioning. At Intelligent Air, we recommend a single solution for both heating and cooling to reduce costs and minimise the intrusion of these appliances in the space.
Systems that generate heat and also cool are known as heat pump air conditioning. For a garden application the choice is usually either a condenser-less type air-conditioning unit or a split system option. The condenser-less design is often a good choice as it limits the aesthetic problems of an outside condenser, isn’t controlled by F-Gas regulations, is very environmentally friendly and connects to a standard electrical supply with a standard 13A plug.
The split system alternative includes the interior unit to allow the absorption of heat by a refrigerant liquid and a compressor. Heat is transferred outside to the external compressor unit. In some cases split systems are preferable depending on space and where the outside condenser is sited.
Whatever your exact summer house air conditioning needs, one of our friendly and highly-trained Intelligent Air representatives will survey the building, listen to your requirements, likes and dislikes and provide you with an optimal quotation for the work. We enjoy taking time to hear your preferences and to help you to fully understand the options suitable for top quality air conditioning for summer houses.
